Leading in Uncertain Times
April 29 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm EDT
A virtual workshop for leaders seeking ideas and community to lead in a time of unprecedented change
When the ground shifts below your feet, how do you lead? How do you center your mission for the long term while also focusing on the immediate work in front of you? Set aside time through this workshop to find your own answers to these critical leadership questions, and craft a path forward through the uncertainty.
We invite you to join ICL staff and other leaders for a dynamic 90 minutes of sharing, learning, reflecting, and planning to adapt your leadership approach.
You will gain perspective and skills from four principles of adaptive leadership and learn how to 1) scout and scan, 2) increase proactive communication, 3) experiment with new strategies, and 4) pay attention to your bottom lines. You will leave the workshop with a personalized framework to confidently lead through uncertainty.
Date: Tuesday, April 29th
Time: 12:30-2:00 pm ET
Cost: $45
Session Leaders: Dianne Russell and Joy Jackson
This highly interactive virtual workshop will be based on the ICL blog post Leading in Uncertain Times, and will provide expanded concepts, practical tips, and examples from ICL and your peers. Come ready to engage throughout the session and contribute your unique perspective as a leader.
You will leave this session with:
- A deeper understanding of the four principles of adaptive leadership,
- At least two specific adaptive leadership practices to implement,
- Analysis of your opportunities and challenges, and,
- A leadership action plan to proactively adapt your leadership in the coming weeks.
The only thing that is certain right now is uncertainty. You face new leadership challenges in guiding your collaboration or organization to shift with the federal changes and new economic realities. Don’t try to ‘go it alone.’
